Australasian Signalling - Revisited
by Peter Symons (Tritun Pty Ltd)
At the IMechE, 1 Birdcage Walk, London, SW1H 9JJ, UK commencing at 18.00 Hours (Tea 17.30 Hours)
This paper builds on the 2002 paper on Australasian signalling. Topics to be covered include:
  • overview of the Australasian industry and network
  • Details of Queensland Rails work on improving the performance of the network in Brisbane
  • A more detailed description of the RioTinto Heavy Haul Signalling in the Pilbara, in Western Australia
  • Developments in Auckland, New Zealand
  • The newly electrified network in Adelaide, South Australia
  • Details of capacity improvements in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales
